New Lighthouse Release!
Posted on May 14, 2026
An update on our continuously evolving, open-source Lighthouse design system:
Our developers have just announced the release of Lighthouse v1.2!
This is an update with some exciting new features.
New Components
Archive Banner
The ability to designate material as “archived” is useful when considering accessibility remediation. This designation preserves content in its current form without being remediated, provided it meets certain, specific criteria.
Lighthouse now offers an archive banner, designed to be displayed at the top of any page that will no longer be updated or edited, but remains on your website for reference.

This easy-to-add banner indicates a page containing content that is outdated, is no longer being updated, and may not be fully accessible.
Supplemental text offers space for an email contact to address any user questions or concerns, which is also a requirement of archiving.
Accessibility Concierge
The Accessibility Concierge is a feature that will now appear within the Contact Page template.
This component provides a consistent place to direct users to common accessibility resources.

It Includes a place to include your agency’s required accessibility contact email or inquiry form, along with additional pre-built links that offer easy ways to report accessibility issues to the state.
This information is contained within a blue shaded card with a bell-ringing icon for easy identification and visual appeal.
Image Card with Heading Link

A full width card featuring an image and a title with clickable link text, all adapting to the screen width.
This component is also available in a responsive grid of cards, each with an image and clickable link text. The layout adapts to screen size: 3 columns on desktop, 2 columns on table, and stacked vertically on mobile devices.
Code Fixes
- CTA Banner color contrast improvements
- Article card update
- Improved interior page navigation menu styling and spacing
