Last updated on October 21st, 2025

We’d like to welcome our new subscribers to the blog and newsletter by offering a bit of context. The newsletter is specifically about accessibility: tips, tricks, events, regulatory info. In a nutshell, Lighthouse is a WordPress-based set of pre-designed components and layout templates. These are designed to maintain a common look and feel among Delaware state agency websites, but also to help our agencies maintain accessibility compliance with a lot of built-in guardrails.

Beyond the pages we’ve dedicated here on the GIC site, the best way to familiarize yourself with Lighthouse is through our Lighthouse Storybook site.

According to its website, Storybook is “a frontend workshop for building UI components and pages in isolation. Thousands of teams use it for UI development, testing, and documentation. It’s open source and free.”

If this sounds like something your Delaware agency would be looking for, be sure to spend some time perusing our Storybook site.
