Hello! As you know, we at the GIC are helping our great Delaware state agencies prepare for the April 24, 2026, ADA Accessibility Deadline.
We have a simple question that we’re hoping will help provide inspiration among those of us in the same boat:
What is your agency doing these days to prepare for the accessibility deadline?
We are looking for just a line or two that gives us a top-level glimpse at your team’s efforts.
Here are some real examples we’ve gotten from your agency colleagues:
- [We’re thinking about] How to phase in changes to historical pages, deciding whether we want to archive them vs. spending time to put them all into the same format.
- …we are determining what tool we can utilize for our PDFs and how to obtain that tool.
- We are organizing our collection of photos and making sure they are all properly captioned with appropriate alt text

What is your agency doing to prepare for the accessibility deadline?
