Language Translation

This online language conversion tool provides a free translation from English to most other major languages, and from other languages to English. There are a number of other free language translation tools available on the web. The following are examples of just a few:

Visitors with visual impairments or limitations can access a free suite of tools from Adobe Systems to assist in viewing documents in PDF format.

This simulation will help you to understand what it is like for a person with visual impairments to access the Internet using a software program called a "screen reader."

WebAnywhere is a non-visual interface to the web that requires no new software to be downloaded or installed.It works right in the browser, which means you can access it from any computer, even heavily locked-down public computer terminals.WebAnywhere enables you to interact with the web in a similar way to how you may have used other screen readers, such as JAWS or Window-Eyes.


FEATURED SITES

Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool. WAVE is a free web accessibility evaluation tool provided by WebAIM. It is used to aid humans in the web accessibility evaluation process. Rather than providing a complex technical report, WAVE shows the original web page with embedded icons and indicators that reveal the accessibility of that page.

The Web Accessibility "How-To" Site. This site contains a wealth of information and tools that can be used to make web pages more accessible. It provides a number of helpful tutorials for beginners and advanced developers.

Did you know that you can now create accessible web and e-learning content that includes rich media? Have you wanted to use Macromedia Flash content, but were concerned about policy or accessibility issues?
